Privacy Policy
Corvia is a trucking operations platform operated by NovaCore Technologies LLC ("Corvia," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through the Corvia web application at corviafleet.com and the Corvia Driver mobile app (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we serve, and whose data this is
Corvia is a business tool. A motor carrier (the "Carrier") creates an account, invites its office staff and drivers, and enters records about its own operations. For most data in the Service, the Carrier is the controller and Corvia is the processor: the Carrier decides what goes in and who can see it, and we store and display it on the Carrier's behalf.
If you are a driver or employee using Corvia because your Carrier asked you to, your Carrier's policies govern what is collected about you at work. Questions about your Carrier's records should go to your Carrier first.
2. Information we collect
Account information
- Name, email address, role, and company affiliation for each user account.
- Login credentials, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see or store your password in readable form.
Operational records entered by the Carrier or its users
- Dispatch and load records: pickups, deliveries, stops, status changes, and delivery documents (bills of lading, proofs of delivery).
- Driver qualification and compliance files, including documents required under 49 CFR Part 391 and related regulations, drug and alcohol testing records, and training completions.
- Vehicle records: inspections (DVIRs), work orders, maintenance history, and parts usage.
- HR records the Carrier chooses to keep: employment documents, onboarding checklists, contact and emergency-contact details.
Information from the Corvia Driver app
- Location. With your permission, the app uses your device's location to show route guidance and stop information (CoPilot) and to record arrival at stops when you tap Arrived. Location is used while the app is open. We do not track location in the background.
- Camera and photos. With your permission, the app uses the camera and photo library so you can attach photos of documents and inspection findings. We only receive the photos you choose to upload.
- Push notifications. With your permission, the app registers a device token so your Carrier's dispatch and safety alerts can reach you. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.
Telematics data
If your Carrier connects a telematics provider (for example, Samsara), Corvia reads vehicle location, hours-of-service status, and safety events from that provider's API and displays them to authorized Carrier staff. Corvia does not operate telematics hardware and is not the system of record for that data; the telematics provider's own privacy terms apply to how it is collected.
Technical information
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser or device type, pages or screens accessed, and timestamps, used for security and troubleshooting.
- An audit log of changes to compliance-sensitive records (who changed what, when), which the Carrier can review. This is a feature of the Service, not tracking for our own purposes.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers on the Service.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: displaying loads to drivers, routing alerts, storing documents, generating compliance reminders.
- To keep the Service secure: authenticating users, enforcing role-based access, detecting misuse.
- To support you: responding to requests sent to support@corviafleet.com.
- To improve the Service, using aggregated, de-identified usage information.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Carrier or driver data to train machine-learning models. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Who can see your information
Within your Carrier. Access is role-based. Dispatchers see dispatch data; compliance and safety staff see driver files; HR sees HR records; maintenance sees vehicle records. Drivers see their own loads, documents, inspections, training, and pay stubs. Carriers control these roles.
Service providers. We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Corvia, each bound by its own terms and security commitments:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Vercel — web hosting
- Mapbox — maps, geocoding, and directions
- Expo and Apple / Google push services — delivery of mobile notifications
- A telematics provider, only if your Carrier connects one
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or a lawful request by a government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public. Where permitted, we will notify the affected Carrier.
Business transfers. If NovaCore Technologies LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Retention
Records stay in the Service for as long as the Carrier's account is active and the Carrier chooses to keep them. Many trucking records have retention periods set by regulation (for example, driver qualification files and drug and alcohol testing records); Corvia surfaces those periods and lets the Carrier download records before deleting them. When a Carrier closes its account, we delete or return its data within 90 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to records is enforced at the database level by row-level security policies tied to each user's role and company. Files are stored in private storage and served through short-lived signed links. Compliance-sensitive changes are written to an audit log. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify the affected Carrier without undue delay.
7. Your choices and rights
- Device permissions. You can revoke location, camera, photo, and notification access in your device settings. Some app features will not work without them.
- Access and correction. Office users can view and correct most records directly. Drivers can review their own records in the app; corrections go through your Carrier.
- Deletion. Because records are kept on behalf of your Carrier and may be subject to regulatory retention, deletion requests are handled with the Carrier. Contact us and we will coordinate.
- State privacy rights. Residents of states with privacy laws (including Texas, California, and others) may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal information and to opt out of certain uses. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. To exercise a right, email support@corviafleet.com; we will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for making a request.
8. Children
Corvia is a workplace tool for commercial motor carriers. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will post the new version here with a revised date and, for material changes, notify Carrier administrators by email.
